 Hi y'all! Welcome to Day 5 of my Homespun Holiday Countdown. I am so grateful you have taken the time to stop on in to check out what I've got going today. I wanted to share a little corner of my living room. We built our ranch style, open concept home in 2021. The floor plan doesn't offer a lot of nooks and crannies, and because it's open concept, it also doesn't offer a lot of wall space. I do love quirky spaces, but that was not to be in this house. Nonetheless, I try to make most of the corners and crannies I do have! Today's corner showcases a vintage Ethan Allen secretary desk I purchased from Facebook Marketplace. I like to style it with old books about Kentucky as well my collection of vintage pocket Bibles. For Christmas, I've displayed some antique as well as some vintage inspired Christmas items.  Hi y'all! Welcome to day four of my Homespun Holiday Countdown for 2023. Today I'm sharing a super simple, yet perfect for company dessert. It's made with basic pantry ingredients you probably have on hand and you can put it together in a jiffy. Easy and budget friendly, yes, but it is the taste that will leave you and your guests asking for more! Black Forest Icebox Cake 1 box chocolate cake mix (prepared per package directions & allow to cool) 1 small.box instant vanilla pudding beaten with 3/4 milk until thickened 1 8 oz container Cool Whip Fold pudding mixture into Cool Whip until completely blended - use this to frost your cake Spread one can cherry pie filing over Cool Whip layer and top with chocolate Jimmies Keep cake refrigerated.
