Fall Front Yard

Image
Hi friends! Since we are still getting settled in our new home and state, I am keeping our front yard decor for fall very low key.  I think it turned out really cute! I will show you close ups of our porch in a future post. I know the magnetic mailbox cover and garden flags are pretty old school, but I am really enjoying them at this house and have been buying up some for each season. We moved here in mid August and so far I've displayed them for late summer, early fall and now Halloween. I also thought the his and her scarecrows were really cute. I found them at a local garden center. They actually are both girl scarecrows, but I was able to cut the braids off of one to make it look more boyish. They also had bloomers under their dresses so I just cut off most of the dress to look like a shirt - again to help make one look more boyish.  Now they are a happy couple!  Have a great day!

Fall Coffee Bar

Hi friends, Fall is quickly passing and we will be headed toward Thanksgiving and - gasp! - Christmas before you know it. It is such a wonderful time of year, but yikes! It sure goes all too quickly.  I am still trying to settle into our house and get everything just so. This has kind of created a wall when it comes to blogging for me. You know - it's the old not clean enough, not perfect enough, not enough. Ugh! Today I decided that I wasn't (never will be) the next Joanna Gaines, but I am enough for me! So, while not the perfection I am striving for, I am sharing with you the current state of my coffee bar. I guess this is the start of my fall decor series, lol. Next up - our fireplace mantel.  See you soon! Thanks so much for stopping by. Joining these link parties: Metamorphosis Monday                                                     ...

Christmas Tree Shops & Home Goods Haul

Image
Hi sweet friends, I am still working on getting settled in our new house, so I apologize for not having posted for so long. I am planning to do a fall home tour series soon. In the meantime, I  thought I'd share a little haul from the Christmas Tree Shops and Home Goods.  We did not have a Christmas Tree Shop any where near Wisconsin, so I was very excited to find one about fifteen minutes from our Kentucky home. I had been to this location a few years ago when visiting our daughter and son in law. I think this is one of those hit or miss kind of stores, but I will say they knock it out of the park for seasonal paper plates and napkins! Their prices for paper products are amazing and they have so many cute designs. I was picking up my Wal-Mart grocery order nearby and decided to stop into the Christmas Tree Shop for the first time since moving to KY in August. I was in need of some fall paper plates and napkins. Aren't these cute? These seemed really sweet for desserts and sna...
