Hi y'all! Happy New Year to all of you! I've been thinking a lot about the new year and all the usual resolutions and expectations we all tend to set for ourselves with a 365 day clean slate presented to us each January 1st. As the Christmas season unfolded, I also have been thinking about the pressures and expectations we tend to put on ourselves to make the Christmas experience "perfect." We craft, we decorate, we bake, we entertain, we buy and yet, it never seems enough. Social media has a lot to do with this feeling of not doing or being enough. I noticed in so many blogs and vlogs this past season, where the creators would constantly apologize that "I need to repaint this room, our Formica countertops need to be replaced, we ran out of time to install new floors, the curtains are all wrong" and on and on and on.
