Homespun Holiday Countdown Day 14

 Hi y'all!

Our sweet grandson was with us for a few days over the weekend, so we had time to do some fun, age appropriate crafts with him.

One of the crafts was making salt dough hand print ornaments. So easy, inexpensive and they always turn out so cute! I just searched for a recipe online that lined up with the ingredients I had in my pantry and we mixed up a batch.

Once mixed, I rolled out the dough and let the hand printing begin! He really liked doing that and I had his attention long enough to get five! I cut away the excess dough away, poked a hole for a hanger and put them in the oven to dry. My recipe took about an hour at 300 degrees.

After they cooled, I painted them on both sides with white acrylic paint. Then I finished the front of them with all of the details. You certainly could paint both sides if you wanted to. Once the paint was dry, I sprayed them with two coats of matte sealer. Super cute!

Thanks for stopping by,
